JUNE 2013

The middle of the year already!

Liz and Alton have arrived in Australia - yay! Nick and Mel and kids came down to stay for the weekend as well. Although if I recall correctly everyone was pretty sick so just Liz and Alton, Geoff and I went off to specials. Liz was off to Townsville to help Andrea out and Alton left mid the next week to take Mel and kids to Townsville ready to start their big Cape York adventure. So we have hardly seen Liz and Alton :(

I am going to try and take proper photos not Iphone photos as the quality is awful when they are blown up a bit.

Laura, Geoff and I headed down to the Gold Coast to catch up with Hellie who was having a weekend with Trudi and friends.

Geoff and I have been doing a bit of biking both in Brisbane and Gold Coast. This was a lovely Sunday afternoon ride by the river.

A surprise 50th for Alan - it was great to catch up with Graeme and Colleen and family also.

I have been trying to work out why I don't have many photos this month but of course grandies away on their big Cape York trip so its been a quiet month. However have been doing a little decorating! (aka shopping).

MAY 2013

We are still being spoilt with visitors during this month also. First weekend Gilly and Dave were here from Melbourne. Surprise surprise too John Dodd rang us from the Brisbane airport on his way to Longreach and also ended up staying the night.

Next we had Bryce and Delwyn to stay. We were thoroughly spoilt with dinners/lunches out all weekend. We started with Stonehouse at Southbank, lovely Mothers Day lunch at Mount Coot-tha, and on Monday night Il Centro on Eagle St Pier. Piled the kilos on this weekend!

Brisbane city

Laura and I had a girls day in town - high tea in the city and then a movie - great night Loo.

Then it was a trip to Christchurch. Caught up with my dear friend Caroline for lunch at the Old Vicarage and then was great to meet Jane for a day - of course shopping was on the agenda! Lovely to also have dinner with John and Connie. Pretty rushed trip but always good to see Mum and Dad.
